To commemorate the Birth Anniversary of the Missile Man of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Bartonair under ISTE GECB Student Chapter conducted a very unique quiz. Teams of 2 were invited to participate in this competition with the theme being “All about space”. Different topics were given to the etams and they had to submit questions in the first round, where the questions were asked in a round - robin fashion. The top teams then moved onto the second round where the teams of two split into individuals where they battled it out against their once teammates to come out on top.
The topics given to participants ranged from Satellites and Launch Vehicles to India in Space and Private Rocket Launch companies with everything in between.The event had a cash prize of Rs 500 and was free for all. 11 teams registered from 5 colleges and sent in questions. The live edition was held via Google Meet and Benoy Joy of University College, Trivandrum came out on top. The twists and turns of this innovative quiz enthralled participants who remarked that it was a “very different experience.” The quiz was the perfect tribute for our great Rocket Man of India as students’ zeal and enthusiasm and knowledge of space were out on full display.
